problem starting mediatomb

everytime i star mediatomb i get this error

libavformat.so.53: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i am not sure whats wrong i had it working last month and i don't know of anything that could have broken it

if you have any ideas please let me know

Looks like a revisions to the lib in question have caused inconsistencies.

I tried creating a symlink to libavformat.so.54.6.100 but then it complained about this missing: (symbol?)

/usr/bin/mediatomb: /usr/lib/libavformat.so.53: version `LIBAVFORMAT_53' not found (required by /usr/bin/mediatomb)

would a patch to versions make it work perhaps?
This file seems to belong to package ffmpeg which is used by ffmpegthumbnailer (both of which also changed earlier in July) .
Running ldd against mediatomb on my sheevaplug shows that it is looking for both .53 and .54 versions.

Could this have been a build problem in building the package for either mediatomb or ffmpeg?

could/should we adjust the alarm version of the PKGBUILD to include this until the arch AUR is adjusted?

so what exactly do i do with this patch?

EDIT: i looked at what version of libavformat.so we have is and it is libavformat.so.54 so i am thinking if we can just get the old libavformat.so.53 and what very it is linked to and paste it in to /usr/lib/ then it should work again

patch has been applied in Arch AUR, can it be updated in Arch Linux repo? can I help in maintaining it?
