gcc-libs/glibc upgrade broke firefox

Postby coolgoose1 » Tue May 21, 2024 11:56 am

Firefox is dumping core for me since
[2024-05-17T07:07:08-0400] [ALPM] upgraded gcc-libs (12.1.0-2.1 -> 14.1.1+r1+g43b730b9134-1)
[2024-05-17T07:05:32-0400] [ALPM] upgraded glibc (2.35-5.1 -> 2.39+r52+gf8e4623421-1)
Has anyone else run into this and fixed it ?

Firefox works fine on my updated system. Did you do a "pacman -Suy"?

That's weird.

Seems something to do with the profile state or settings. It dumps core when I run it in kiosk mode (running firefox in maximized private window from xinitrc).

And it dumps core when I start xterm from xinitrc and then try to run in private window mode.

But if I run firefox in normal mode from xterm, then it runs fine. And after that, even private window mode runs fine.
