Hi all,

Got meself a new provider, which is providing a lot more downloadspeed then i'm used too.
I've noticed that when downloading using sabnzbd on my pogo the download speeds are a third of what i can get on my pc (2 vs 6 MB/s). The network itself is quite capable of doing more. Any ideas on waht the bottleneck could be?

I have v0.6.10 installed via pacman -S sabnzbd. I see a new upgrade is available, but pacman -Syu does not find the sabnzbd upgrade. What am I doing wrong? I wish to upgrade without losing settings.

Here's the upgrade: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=13691

Thats in the AUR. It's possible it hasn't been updated @ our github

It's updated now. This program isn't officially tracked by Arch, so all updates of the program must be made manually by us. I only check these programs for new versions when someone mentions it or every few months when I get intensely bored.

It's also entirely possible for the community to be proactive in updating packages we track in github from AUR. Forking the PKGBUILDs repo, making changes, and submitting a pull request on the new version is always welcome.

I am really new to linux and I am trying to get sabnzbd on my pogoplug,
I followed the instuctions for ygator in the post earlier to run "pacman -Syyu" followed by "pacman -S sabnzbd".
However, I got the following error messages:

resolving dependencies...
warning: cannot resolve "python2-cheetah", a dependency of "sabnzbd"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
sabnzbd

Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N]
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: sabnzbd: requires python2-cheetah

What exactly do I need to do to get sabnzbd installed? Thanks a lot in advance.

pacman -Sy, then try to install again. Arch dumped python2-cheetah from community, so it needed to be built from AUR.

Thanks a lot. That seems to work although I still saw some errors which I don't understand! But at least I got the SABNZDB installed and running!
Have not tried to download any actual file. Thank you again!

One more question, it seems sabnzbd does not allow me to change the downolad directory.
I tried to point the download folder to the mounted hdd drive (the system is on a small flash drive), however, whenever I tried to change the download folder, I got the following:

ERROR: download_dir directory: /media/Download/incomplete error accessing

I could tried both the GUI and changed the .ini file. Neither work.
What shall I do? Thanks!

I'm a linux newbie myself. I found that you need to make your directories read/writeable. chmod 777 [folder]
Got it working! I'm learning a bunch about linux in general since getting this pogoplug and these forums.
