Postby ccollinscj » Sun Dec 30, 2012 10:00 pm

Can someone help me set a static IP Address ? I tried SystemCtl and ipaddr, it just doesn't stick at reboot.

Install netcfg
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cp /etc/network.d/examples/ethernet-static /etc/network.d/
nano /etc/network.d/ethernet-static
#edit to your liking
nano /etc/conf.d/netcfg
#edit line NETWORKS=(last) so it reads NETWORKS=(ethernet-static)
systemctl enable netcfg
#if message tells you symlink created, then do this
rm /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dh*')

Did exactly as you posted and rebooted and it did not work, still pulling DHCP from the router.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pepedog', 'I')nstall netcfg
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cp /etc/network.d/examples/ethernet-static /etc/network.d/
nano /etc/network.d/ethernet-static
#edit to your liking
nano /etc/conf.d/netcfg
#edit line NETWORKS=(last) so it reads NETWORKS=(ethernet-static)
systemctl enable netcfg
#if message tells you symlink created, then do this
rm /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dh*')

netcfg@newprofile.service loaded failed failed Netcfg networking service for profile newprofil

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ccollinscj', 'D')id exactly as you posted and rebooted and it did not work, still pulling DHCP from the router.

netcfg@newprofile.service loaded failed failed Netcfg networking service for profile newprofil

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ccollinscj', 'D')id exactly as you posted and rebooted and it did not work, still pulling DHCP from the router.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'rm /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/netcf*
systemctl enable netcfg')
That might have fixed it
