tonidoplug uboot similarities?

so no one has any solutions, or hacks to get past these boot problems?

The current draw on the USB of the Dockstar is too high on startup. There isn't a software fix for that (except for the sidestep bodge I'll list in a minute).

Options are:
1. unplug the web cam
2. powered USB hub supplying power to the webcam
or
3. (the sidestep bodge) install the kernel to NAND and boot from NAND with a good long pause before expecting to find anything sensible on USB storage. Leave the USB system to settle out and the system will never know the difference, although if you smell smoke you should probably switch it off.

ofc the usb hub is powered!

I tried two different powered hubs, but it's not a power issue. It doesn't matter whether i have the bootusb + webcam or bootusb + webcam + 8 other devices, its because of the webcam...

hell i'd even take a solution that boots from nand -> usbboot, but ofc starts running from the usbboot fully, and drops nand later.

I believe you have to get access to uBoot environment....

if your talking about printenv, then no, I just get some info about the bash shell settings. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

this file is missing for me, so what are the correct offsets for a tonido plug?

I was able to get these numbers:
mtd0 00100000 00020000 "u-boot"
mtd1 00400000 00020000 "uImage"
mtd2 1fb00000 0020000 "root"

How can I can convert these to a fw_env.config file?
