Right now, V4L2 doesn't build in the kernel, sound needs looking at (the drivers and firmware load and ALSA finds it but no sound), and Bluetooth.

I figured out all the questions I had. But I made an error in setting up moboot. Now I get the exclamation point triangle with words (something like palm/ROM) underneath.

Is there a way to restore just the bootloader or do I just need to Doctor and start again? God I wish I could get this running!

I think doctoring is the only thing to do at this point...I'm testing a new rootfs right now...

Sorry for my noob question but when I try to manually install moboot putting file, i get this message :

Code: Select all
novacom put file://boot/moboot.splash.ArchLinuxARM.tga < moboot.splash.ArchLinuxARM.tga

bad or error response from other side: 'file open failed'

Put one more slash like this: file:///boot/blabla and first, before any novacom putting, do this in novaterm:

Code: Select all
mount -o rw,remount /
mount -o rw,remount /boot

Edit: I uploaded a new tga splash file to Github - it is now oriented properly. You should also pick up the more stable uImage.ArchLinuxARM from there while you're at it and use the rootfs I link to in the first post of this topic.

Updated the installation instructions and uploaded the alpha 1 build. See the first post. Make sure to rename your LVM archlinuxarm partition to arch-root with:

Code: Select all
lvm.static lvrename store archlinuxarm arch-root

Make sure you go into the mouse settings and set the sliders for a longer dragging and double click time - it helps a lot, but yes, there will still be work done on the touchscreen driver. Lucky for you, when we do update it, a regular pacman -Syu will download and update it after a reboot.

Thanks for your release.

I also added xfce4-power-manager to show battery status, works fine :)

I will make some tests.
