Use a tmp.d file
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy ... rary_files
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'echo "w /sys/devices/s3c2440-i2c.1/i2c-1/1-0067/power/wakeup - - - - disabled" > /etc/tmp.d/touchpad.conf')

Another question,

I'am using chromebook flashed with nv-uboot
It seems that notebook doesn't go completely down if you try to use poweroff icon in xfce (or shutdown command from console).

The symptoms:
1. when notebook goes down - it sill uses the battery significantly
2. if you press some buttons while it is shutdown and then press a power button - uboot prompt with text taped will appear (it doesn't happen if the notebook is shutdown in 1O sec. power pressing way )

Does anybody face it and know the solution?

I can confirm this issue. The battery in my Archbook experienced a 16% drain overnight, and was completely drained after two days of limited to no usage. Holding down the power button for 10secs gets around it (but who wants to do that everytime?)

Has anyone attempted to get OpenGL ES to work? Apparently it's possible by copying over libraries from Chrome OS.
It would be nice to get some sort of video acceleration working.

edit: Also, has anyone been able to deal with screen tearing in video playback?

Got a Chromebook from eBay, less than half the price of the new HP Chromebook 11.
Also grabbed Patriot Tab USB 3.0 32GB flash drive, 33$ on Amazon.

Installed Arch and found out I can't boot via the usb 3.0 port, I think I'll try later to load uboot and kernel from sd card and the rootfs from the usb 3.0 port.

Few things that I hope will be cleared on the installation guide or on the wiki page.
* Recommended video driver or short comparison between drivers, currently I'm with xf86-video-armsoc-git.
* 10-monitor.conf example, I used this one, only made a quick test with minimal x enviroment, will probably revisit it.
* HW acceleration for h264 video (especially in browser).

I probably will figure the answer to these latter, currently I'm in a really slow process of installing Gnome (due to slow wireless connection).

So, I replaced my Chromebook's screen with an IPS panel, the LP116WH4(SL)(N2). Viewing angles, contrast, color reproduction, etc are all significantly improved. For more details and pictures, I made a long post about it here.
Here's a quick picture of the viewing angles:

Wow! I was some time ago looking for the Asus Zen Prime panel (11.6" IPS, fullHD) to replace the crappy one of the Chromebook, but I found the physical signaling to be different. I was not aware of another 11.6"!

So this is exciting, as soon as we have a little more money I will definitely resurrect my second (screenless) Chromebook with one of these panels.

Thank you for posting!
