CUPS + foomatic problems

Does anyone else get an "Unable to get list of printer drivers" error when using the CUPS web interface and foomatic to install a printer? The error goes away when I uninstall foomatic and use gutenprint instead. I'd use the gutenprint drivers, but unfortunately it doesn't have the driver for my printer. Looks like this has been reported previously (https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28105), but it doesn't look like it's been resolved.
