It would be nice to augment the platform page (http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6 ... provideov3
) with more model numbers, to ease identification.
Based on this post (http://www.pogoplugged.com/forum/thread ... ifference/
), we have these model numbers for the Pogoplug Pro: POGO
-P01 - Pogoplug Pro U.S. only Version? (110v)POGO
-P02 - Pogoplug Pro Canadian ( and U.S.?) Version(110v)POGO
-P03 - Pogoplug Pro UK version (220v)POGO
- Pogoplug Pro EU Version (220v)
The post speculates that the difference between the P01 and P02 may just be either certification by Industry Canada, rather than FCC, or bilingual English/French labeling and doc.
Based on this post (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-200 ... g-on-fire/
), we have these model numbers for the Pogoplug Video (which, while discontinued, is still available on eBay): POGO
This article (http://www.smallcloudbuilder.com/storag ... -next-week
) restates the above model numbers, and mentions the the Pogoplug Video is the only one that has an external power supply.
Based on the picture in this post (http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml11/11294.html
), the model number may also be POGOPLUG VIDEO.
It would also be nice to mention somewhere that if you have a POGO
-BIZ02, it could be a POGO
-E02 or a POGO
-P21, since the difference is in the Pogoplug software. (So paying extra for a POGO
-BIZ02 is pointless if you are going to just ditch the software and use ArchLinux instead). The real model number will be on the sticker on the bottom of the base. (Lately, I have been haunting eBay for Pogoplugs, and whenever I run into a sale that does not list the model number, I send the seller a polite note mentioning that he will probably get more sales if he posts it.)
