yet another blinking light..

Postby haiku » Thu Aug 30, 2012 12:55 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if it has been ask many (many) times but I 'herite' from a pogo P24 which is stuck to a blinking green light state.
Arch ARM have been previously installed on it with success by a friend and it now dosen't respond after a surge... :?

I can't ssh to it and it dosen't takes any IP. I have read than i could still boot via the SATA connector but i can't find a reliable image.
If i can log on then, i believe i can reinstall the NAND to a correct state.
Is there any procedure for that ? I don't want to mess up the device more than it is

thanks indeed for your help

Hi,
Well i have found at the bottom of the Oxnas install page the procedure to 'unlock' the device. I've reinstall a new image but it now blinks for about 15 seconds and then turns off.
It is said "It's not a brick, but be ready to troubleshoot." So what could i do now ? ;)

Try using the 2012.05 rootfs, in case your device has the old kernel in nand. Sata bypass will always work ;)

I've :
pacman -Syf hwids
pacman -Syf systemd-tools
then doing some pacman -Suyf
And finally created/usr/local/mac_addr file.
Now i can see the host and ping it.. but can't ssh to it anymore :x
