ping: icmp open socket: Operation not permitted

Postby hendry » Thu Apr 24, 2014 3:00 am

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[hendry@alarmpi ~]$ ping google.com
ping: icmp open socket: Operation not permitted')

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance from Singapore,

Please re-install the package, and see if anything about setcap comes back

Thanks $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'sudo pacman -S iputils') did indeed fix the issue.

I still get $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Unable to allocate IPv6 socket for nameserver communication: Address family not supported by protocol') when I use mtr, despite a re-install though.

Related?
