Android adb on the pi?

Postby workdowg » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:14 pm

Got stuck trying to build this at, libstdc++5, and another I forgot. Anyone help?

Code: Select all
==> Starting build()...
Configuring for a armv6l-unknown-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /build-tmp/src/gcc-build using "mt-frag"

I got the PKGBUILD and patch file from the ABS and it stops with the above error.

If you set the 'march' to 'armv6' this should get you going...

I have tried that... it kept reverting back. The makepkg has to be resetting the environment.

This has an example of how to override:

Thank you. I'm learning so much lately, my head hurts.

Now it builds but stops here:
Code: Select all

/usr/bin/ld: unrecognised emulation mode: armelf_linux
Supported emulations: armelf_linux_eabi armelfb_linux_eabi
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [libgcc/./_udivsi3.oS] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/tliscum/build-tmp/src/gcc-build/gcc'
make[1]: *** [libgcc.a] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tliscum/build-tmp/src/gcc-build/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...

Any new ideas?

I don't think you can get this to work. You can recompile the dependencies to work with arm but the android sdk is compiled to x86 and I don't think it is open source.

I have been failing to build one of the dependencies, libstdc++5. It is an old gcc library.

At which step is the compile failing?

You can install adb with the 'adb' package from AUR.
It builds fine.

abd: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=51442

Here is a redybuilt package: http://huulivoide.pp.fi/Arch/arm/adb-2.3-2-arm.pkg.tar.xz
