Go (golang) package, patched for the RPi

Postby robodonut » Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:44 pm

Since the package in the main repo is incompatible with the Raspberry Pi (something to do with the FPU instruction set), I've tweaked an existing pkgbuild from the AUR to produce one that is compatible. i.e., it targets ARM 6 and has this patch applied.

Please note that this hasn't been thoroughly tested, so don't proceed if you're not volunteering to be a guinea pig.

The ABS (PKGBUILD and supporting files) source package:

And the resulting binary package:

If anyone uses it, would you please report your success/catastropic failure so that I can confirm that it is (or isn't) in good working order?

Not working for me.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
# pacman -U go-pi-1.0.2-1-arm.pkg.tar.xz
loading packages...
error: failed to prepare transaction (package architecture is not valid)
:: package go-pi-1.0.2-1-arm does not have a valid architecture
')

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
# uname -a
3.2.27-5-ARCH+ #1 PREEMPT Fri Sep 14 13:23:44 UTC 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux
')

-arm would denote a v5 package, softfloat.
