It's more probable that it's a kernel issue exposed by newer versions of systemd. Given that the UDOO devs have done comparatively little development on their kernel, this is not surprising. They have also not given any appearances that they will be migrating to the latest 3.10.17 kernel from Freescale, which everyone else has moved to. This is not an issue we can fix; their kernel devs need to start putting in the work to support the board they created and sold. However, given their public activity, this system shows all the signs of being abandoned.

Alternately, provided you're using our latest U-Boot, you can replace linux-udoo by installing linux-armv7. There will be some reduced functionality until more stuff gets mainlined/patched in, but it does boot and most things work. On a class 4 SD card, an UDOO dual here came up in about 12-13 seconds.

Thank you very much for your replies. It's totally clear then what the issue is. At the moment I have set up my quad, using the roll back system but I will also test the mentioned kernel.
