oxnas vs marvel

Postby dvfedele » Thu Apr 12, 2012 10:10 pm

My Intended Uses:
remote access of data using dyndns
crashplan backup
possibly minidlna/samba sharing

Wasn't sure if oxnas wasn't preferred since you can't use the mainline linux kernel?

Is it better to get the marvel with a slower proc but 2x the ram? Or get the new(er) oxnas with half ram and marginally faster proc?

I'm leaning towards the V2 marvell, but haven't found info to sway me either direction.

Would appreciate feedback...Thanks so much!

Um, ok.

I'd say overall, if possible, try to get a Kirkwood model with 256M because java likes to be memory hungry.
