default ssh passwd on Armv5

My pogopig had been happily sitting running motion for a year, until my ISP had an outage and screwed all the reserved addresses and dat on the cable router, also something to the pogopig, which I could no longer get in to via ssh.
I had a look at the USB stick and diectories that should have have stuff in were empty.

So I followed the reinstall instructions, formated the drive and reinstalled,

It now gets its address with DHCP OK but when # ssh root@192.168.101.13 wont accept any password I use.
is there a default SSH password that is installed when untarring the latest tarball and installing on to a USB stick ????
