system logs on USB stick (pogoplug)

Postby GTCG » Sun May 04, 2014 7:51 pm

Hey

Recently I installed Archlinux on a usb-stick to be used on my pogoplug. i would like to keep the systemlogs at one of my external drives because writing to much data to the usb-stick is bad for its life span.

I managed to install Webmin. When I go to Webmin-->webmin configuration-->Logging it shows me that the log files are being kept in /var/log

My questions:

1) Are all the log files being kept at /var/log?
2) Is there a way to change this? As mentioned above i would like to change the location of the log directory to my external drive, which is also connecteed to my pogoplug.

Thanks in advance!
