Trimslice on AC100, getting X to run

Postby IronMew » Sat Aug 09, 2014 6:22 pm

I've installed Trimslice on my Toshiba AC100 following these instructions. Ive gotten it to boot, the wifi works and pacman downloads and installs packages, so I got it to install xorg and mate, but when I try to run it it errors like this:

****nvrm_init failed****
Error: Can't open /dev/nvhost-ctrl

and quits.

I have installed xf86-video-vesa, xf86-video-fbdev, xf86-video-modesetting and nvidia-trimslice. My xorg.conf has "tegra" as the driver both under device "Tegra HDMI" and "Tegra Internal".

I'm not really sure where I'm going wrong, but it's not like I know what I'm doing when tinkering with Linux internals, so I'd be grateful for any help.

Forget acceleration, nothing for xorg 1.16 , xf86-video-fbdev is the only one to use, remove xf86-video-vesa and any xorg.conf file
