Directory Discovery?

Postby pleasehelpme » Sun Sep 07, 2014 2:06 am

Hello,

I'm relatively new to Arch Linux and UI-less OSes in general, so please bear with me.

I'm trying to map my minidlna running pogoplug to my 2nd hard drive, but I'm unsure of how to find out how that drive is mapped, is there some sort of command that will map out the directory?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but you can try:
-mount,
-dmesg,
cat /proc/partitions
abcde

I was a little vague when I spoke:

Basically, I have minidlna installed and I am editing the /etc/minidlna.conf, however I don't know what my hard drive's directory is (i.e. /home/harddrive/pictures) is there an easy way to find out?

You need to mount it first. It is not mounted automatically unless you make it so. Use udevil for automount.
