Raspberry logo when booting up

Postby daniels » Wed Oct 22, 2014 2:32 pm

Hi,

I've just installed ArchLinux and when booting it up I've noticed the raspberry logo at the top while the debug messages (what's being started, etc.) are displayed bellow.

Any idea what's displaying that logo, how can it be configured to display something else, and if that can be made fullscreen so that no debug messages are displayed at all while booting?

Thanks.

The kernel is doing that, in place of Tux on mainline kernels.

If you want a splash screen, use a splash screen :)
