opencv and beaglebone : performance?

Postby Soranne » Tue Jan 03, 2012 6:05 pm

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a beaglebone but I was wondering of the performance. Is the beaglebone good for doing real time image processing? Will this work well on beaglebone : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CigGvt3DXIw ? At how many fps?

Many thanks for your answers!

The project you linked to on Youtube says they've used it on a beagleboard before, but I dont know if they're using the DSP on that board for something or not.

I would imagine OpenCV would work acceptably on the beaglebone but nobody has tried it
