HP iPAQ 214?

Postby jsteel » Thu Feb 23, 2012 8:13 pm

Hi,

I have an HP iPAQ 214 and was wondering if I could get Arch on it? I don't mind about wireless, sound etc... just a terminal and onscreen keyboard would be great.

Thanks

I hope you've seen this: http://www.oliford.co.uk/hpipaq214/moin ... loads.html

I'd start by replacing all Angstrom things with Arch Linux ARM ones, e.g. the rootfs.
Remember, Arch Linux ARM is completely donation-supported, and is totally awesome.

Yes I had a look at that and got it running, but it's very out of date and it breaks after I install/update some packages.

Is what you have suggested a big job? I'll give it a go! Thanks.
