Pogoplug v2 & owncloud

Postby argyle » Sat Sep 15, 2012 3:12 am

First let me say that I'm completely new to Linux.
I wasn't satisfied with the functionality of my pogoplug box and owncloud looked like an interesting alternative.
I've managed to install ALARM on my pogo plug and I've also managed to install the owncloud package.
now that the package is installed I don't really know where to go from here to get it setup.
do I need other packages? how do I setup the back end?

If anybody has any information or a step by step guide I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Why not try the doc at owncloud.org?

I've done that actually. At this point trying to access ownlcoud takes me to Index of /owncloud page instead of the owncloud web interface.

Any ideas?

What webserver did you install and have running properly? On what web address are you trying to access owncloud webUI ?

apache web server. Trying to access it at the default address.. http://"pogoplug ip"/owncloud

I can access the address but I get a page that looks like this
http://oc.chromic.org/owncloud/
rather than the owncloud login.

It appears to be your owncloud config problem. Since it has an array of config choices, its not really a Pogoplug expertise issue, so your best bet may be owncloud forum. :)

You're probably right. Whatever the case may be, is there anyone here who has successfully installed owncloud on their own pogoplug device that is willing to provide a tutorial?

ownclouds own directions aren't as straight forward as you might think and there seems to be a number of options depending on the distribution and web server configuration.

Something based on a clean archlinux install would be awesome.

Were you able to find all the dependecies for owncloud to run for ARM ? There are quite a bit pre-reqs to get OC running..

apache2 php5 php5-json php-xml php-mbstring php5-zip php5-gd, php5-sqlite curl libcurl3 libcurl3-dev php5-curl php-pdo

Hi!

I got Owncloud up and running on my Pogoplug v2. But I still run version 4.0 of Owncloud.. what version do you have? And I choose to use sqlite.

Ok, here's the fast version of what i did :-)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -S owncloud php-apache php-sqlite sqlite')

Added the following lines to /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Include /etc/httpd/conf/extra/owncloud.conf
LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
Include conf/extra/php5_module.conf
MIMEMagicFile conf/magic

Uncommented the following lines to /etc/php/php.ini
xmlrpc.so
zip.so
gd.so
pdo_sqlite.so
sqlite3.so

And I also made the following changes:

/etc/rc.conf
HOSTNAME="localhost"

/etc/httpd/conf/extra/httpd-default.conf
ServerTokens Prod
erverSignature Off

/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
# Include conf/extra/httpd-userdir.conf

/etc/httpd/conf/mime.types
application/x-httpd-php php php5

Let me know how it works out for you!
PogoPlug v2 Pink, w/ transmission, flexget, nfs, owncloud..
