Linux 2.6.28 Porting to Oxnas

Postby redsquare » Tue Nov 01, 2011 10:05 pm

I've created a patch of my efforts based on the 2.6.38. It only really works with a single core, with USB being a bit intermittent.

I'm getting a bit frustrated with how Oxnas/PLX have butchered in support in the original 2.6.31 tree. Not having any documentation either hasn't helped matters.

Has anyone else tried anything simular?

Take a look, distribute, improve, enjoy.

USB intermittent? Is it a dwc_otg?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pepedog', 'U')SB intermittent? Is it a dwc_otg?

No its a ehci/ohci based controller, can't remember which. My kernel has trouble initializing the hub properly, I think there may be some special sequence I'm not following as the original driver programs other bits not seen in other implementations.

Seriously? Google it.

By features here, I mean making sure the entire PLX Oxnas 782x SoC has working implementation. Such as getting SATA port to work, and ethernet : neither do at this point in time.
