[wireshark] error while loading shared libraries (libgcrypt)

Postby fedux » Thu Jan 16, 2014 2:58 pm

Hi,

It seems that wireshark for raspberry-pi needs to be recompiled using the new libgcrypt:

wireshark-cli-1.10.5-3:

$ tshark
tshark: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

$ ldd `which tshark` | grep libgcrypt
libgcrypt.so.11 => not found

thanks!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
pkgfile libgcrypt.so

pacman -Qi <package name>
pacman -Si <package name>
')

Dear WarheadSE - it isn't that easy solution - libgcrypt is installed by me an the same error occurs. Did you test it yourself before writing your comment?

That's generally precisely how to find what and where the file comes from, and then compare the installed version to the available version. I never once said it would fix it.

It seems this package is one of a rather large few that inherently use libgcrypt as a pull-in, so it's state of dependency was slightly skewed when the latest version of gcrypt broke all over the place on ARM builds. We have been cleaning up a slew of such packages as we catch them.
