[bug] sudo 1.9.8.p2-1 (arm v7h) broken

Postby tchelovek » Thu Sep 23, 2021 7:29 am

After a fresh install of archlinuxarm http://os.archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM-odroid-c1-latest.tar.gz sudo is missing. Installing base-devel pulls in sudo 1.9.8.p2-1, which fails with Killed, no matter how it is invoked. Journal shows nothing, Valgrind cannot load it because of reported missing accrss rights (for root ???).

Reverting to sudo 1.9.7.p1-1 solves the issue

I think this is the cause of the issue: https://github.com/sudo-project/sudo/issues/117.
Could we apply the patch when building the package?

Sudo crash on odroid c1

Postby MichelPeseur » Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:04 pm

Hi,

This is the first time I ever post in the forum. I am facing an issue and I have no idea how I can bypass that.
I don't know since when but I can't use sudo anymore. When I type sudo it is instantly killed but I don't know why.
I attempted to launch it with gdb, but same result, program receives sigkill.

Could someone help ?
