uboot-tools package is out of date

Postby pudge » Sat Nov 19, 2022 6:25 pm

The version of uboot-tools in community is uboot-tools-2022.01-1
The current version of uboot-tools in Archlinux x86_64 community is uboot-tools-2022.10-3

This seems to be causing a problem in my Odroid N2 setup during a kernel update

==> Creating gzip-compressed initcpio image: /boot/initramfs-linux.img
==> Image generation successful
(5/7) Updating uimg initcpios...
/usr/bin/mkimage: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
error: command failed to execute correctly

Had the same issue here on my Odroid N2.

Looks like uboot-tools needs a rebuild because of the upgrade to openssl-3.0.x -- but it was missed.

I ended up grabbing the PKGBUILD from the archlinux arm community repo here:

https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/blob/f07e9ebc302e943b0d09e5968f67a5bf6a82ea62/trunk/PKGBUILD

I just rebuilt the existing 2022.01-1 release and re-installed the resulting package. This fixed the missing (old) libssl shared library issue.

Hope this helps!

Install the $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'openssl-1.1') package which provides the needed libraries.
