UFW changes in 0.35

Postby technosf » Sat Apr 30, 2016 4:06 pm

FYI,

ufw changed some config location in 0.35 that can modify firewall behavior (i.e. shutting down network connectivity)

I'm figuring it out now :|

Had to pick through the user.rules files in /usr/lib/ufw looking for the one that had the last-known-good rules for ipv4. As there have been a few updates to ufw, this turned out to be file user.rules.pacsave.1.

Copied /usr/lib/ufw/user.rules.pacsave.1 to /etc/ufw/user.rules and added it to svn. Re-enabled ufw and we're back.

If I move it, it would break again when they move the config location back!
