Regarding installation of mpich 3.2-1

Postby dpremkum » Thu Feb 09, 2017 2:25 am

I tried to install the package mpich 3.2-1. But I'm not able to install one of the dependencies (numactl).
And I'm trying to install mpich on Linux rpi02 4.4.46-1-ARCH #1 SMP Fri Feb 3 19:02:01 MST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux
[alarm@rpi02 mpich]$ makepkg -si
==> Making package: mpich 3.2-1 (Wed Feb 8 17:19:06 PST 2017)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Installing missing dependencies...
error: target not found: numactl
==> ERROR: 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies.

I tried manually by giving,
sudo pacman -S numactl
sudo pacman -S extra/numactl.

Both returned the same error.
error: target not found: numactl

Kindly help me out.
Thank you.

Seeing as there is no such thing as NUMA on ARM, you may want to look into removing the dependency.

Okay.
Thank you.
Do you have any suggestions on how to remove the dependency?
