Hey guys,
since kernel 4.10 I am no longer able to open my LUKS encrypted SSD.
How to reproduce:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
# cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda1 data
device-mapper: reload ioctl on temporary-cryptsetup-663 failed: No such file or directory
Failed to setup dm-crypt key mapping for device /dev/sda1.
Check that kernel supports aes-xts-plain64 cipher (check syslog for more info).
')
And in dmesg I find then:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
[ 610.278796] device-mapper: table: 253:0: crypt: Error allocating crypto tfm
[ 610.285891] device-mapper: ioctl: error adding target to table
')
The problem can be fixed by downgrading to kernel 4.9.x
Since it works fine on my Arch Linux notebook (x86_64) with kernel 4.10, I guess maybe the kernel is configured wrong/differently and probably the correct module is missing. The system is a BananaPi.
Regards
