Adding AUR gives me failed retrieving file 'archlinuxfr.db'

man pacman.conf states:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'URLs will have $arch replaced by the name of the architecture')

However my /etc/pacman.conf states:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Architecture = armv6h
')

But that is not available in the repo:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '

is it safe to explicitly change $arch to arm ? If I make this change I can pacman -Syu successfully:
