mono-5.0.0.100-2 on armv5 (pogoplug e02)

Installation of of mono-5.0.0.100-1 or mono-5.0.0.100-2 fails on armv5 (pogoplug e02) devices. I have attempted the installation on multiple armv5 (pogoplug e02) devices and get the same error. Downgrading to mono-4.8.0.495-1 resolves the problem. Below is the stacktrace and gdb output. I am at a loss for what's causing it. Suggestions are appreciated.
