lsusb and automount

Postby tritron » Sat Jun 25, 2011 4:05 am

So lsusb gives me Segmentation fault all the time. Do I need to recompile my own lsub? I wonder if anyone knows how to stop drives frombeing mounted in media. I have fstab entry for partitons and automount mounts them also. What file Ican editto stop it from happening?

Look no further than /etc/udev/rules.d/

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Udev

Talks about making rules for auto-mounting. From this I deleted the "11-media-blah blah" file from the rules.d folder, but it came back on the next reboot. So I had commented out each line in the files themselves, if that helps ya.

The rules are added into our release of udev, since more people want them than not. Commenting them out, or just deleting what's in the files will prevent pacman from overwriting or putting them back in place.

... or tell pacman not to overwrite/reinstall the automount file(s), see NoUpgrade/NoExtract in man pacman.conf.
