DNS resolution not working on fresh install Raspberry Pi3

Hello.

I have fresh install on RPi3. DNS does not work, without me changing anything. All my other machines do get DNS working fine.
I use DHCP.
I installed manually bind-tools + dependencies and dig works fine and returns correct results. I can ping machines by IP but ping by hostname fails with 'Name or service not known". Curl fails too with similar message.

No idea what is wrong, please advise.

Ok here is how I solved this in case someone has the same issue.
It seems to be an issue with systemd version 242.

First of all, I do use DNSSEC with my router. When I tried systemd-resolve, it was complaining about invalid/expired DNSSEC certificate.
Setting in /etc/systemd/resolved.conf was (defaut):
#DNSSEC=allow-downgrade - note that it is commented out.

When I set that to "no" it started working. On my other RPi which had the same issue, but it was not vanilla Arch, the issue was also solved when I disabled systemd-resoved. I am using NetworkManager there and DNS works again just fine.

Strangely, I do not have this issue on my x86 machines running Arch and Systemd v.242.

I spoke too soon. Disabling of the daemon does not work, just DNSSEC disabling.
