vte3 0.58.0-1 breaks xfce4-terminal

Following a recent full upgrade (Asus c201, linux-veyron, xfce4), xfce4-terminal dies immediately after starting. I've narrowed it down to vte3: downgrading vte3 to 0.56.3-1 allows the terminal to start up without crashing.
For now, I've added this to /etc/pacman.conf
IgnorePkg = vte3
Anyone else suffering this? Any ideas what's up?
Starting xfce4-terminal from an xterm didn't report any errors.
