odroid n2: linux 5.10 and 5.11 boots with no network

I'm using linux-aarch64-5.11.4-1 on an odroid n2. Since updating to linux 5.10 and above, I get frequent boots without network. This is the message I see in the syslog:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[date/time] odroid kernel: meson8b-dwmac ff3f0000.ethernet eth0: no phy at addr -1
[date/time] odroid kernel: meson8b-dwmac ff3f0000.ethernet eth0: stmmac_open: Cannot attach to PHY (error: -19)')

This appears to be related to a known bug discussed here: https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/li ... libre.com/

This is the explanation:
"It has been reported on IRC and in KernelCI boot tests, this change breaks
internal PHY support on the Amlogic G12A/SM1 Based boards.

We suspect the added signal to reset more than the Ethernet MAC but also
the MDIO/(RG)MII mux used to redirect the MAC signals to the internal PHY.

This reverts commit f3362f0c18174a1f334a419ab7d567a36bd1b3f3 while we find
an acceptable solution to cleanly reset the Ethernet MAC."

I would like this to get fixed in the package distribution for linux-aarch64. Can anybody help with this?
