Zig language is out of date

Postby Aren » Thu Mar 17, 2022 3:42 am

The current version of the zig compiler in x86 arch is 0.9, but the version in the alarm repositories is either 0.7 or 0.4 depending on the architecture.

I'm hoping this is the correct place to report this, but I'm new around here.

Is there any technical reason that makes updating hard or is zig just so unimportant that nobody cares?

there is no technical reason that Zig can't be updated, using the pkgbuild from the arch linux community repository works well. many programs i use are developed in Zig, so it's quite inconvenient that it's lacked maintainance for so long.

thanks,
Bobby

Builds errors out due to out of memory. Looking into it now for 0.9.1. Thank you for reporting.
