borgmatic outdated

Postby denk » Thu Oct 05, 2023 6:43 am

Hello,

I just stumbled upon an outdated package: borgmatic
According tomake_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, ' ', 'https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/borgmatic/', '', ' class="postlink"') it should be on version 1.8.3. However,make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, ' ', 'https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/any/borgmatic', '', ' class="postlink"') shows 1.7.12-2. As the origin of the package is Arch Linux, shouldn't it have the same version? Or do I misunderstand the mechanism of ArchLinuxARM repositories vs. Arch Linux repositories?

Thanks

I just built, installed and used borgmatic 1.8.5 on my RPi4 successfully using the unmodified PKGBUILD from Arch Linux: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/borgmatic/-/blob/main/PKGBUILD?ref_type=heads
Why is borgmatic not in sync with Arch Linux?

Had the same issue. And resolved it the same way. I'll try IRC and update this post when I have news.

Edit: Just got an answer though IRC: "considered it reported", on the question where I can report an outdated version of borgmatic.

So, I assume it will be updated in the near future.
