pipewire 1.4 uses a whole CPU [Solved]

Postby alexela » Wed Apr 02, 2025 7:12 pm

Since pipewire 1.4, its process uses nearly 100% of a CPU with my pinebookpro, with gnome-shell or XFCE. Downgrading to 1.2 solves the issue. Am I the only one ? (cause it could be because of my old kernel…)

Dont know if its a mainstream issue or a Archarm package issue…

Regards,
alex

[EDIT : solved with pipewire 1.4.1-1 (didn't test in between…)]

It uses a whole CPU for me too. I haven't found a fix for it.

Check if it has been reported as an upstream bug and report it if not?
