Cubox GLX issue

Postby Tach » Sun Sep 01, 2013 2:01 pm

Hi,

I reinstalled my Cubox yesterday and bumped into something I haven't had before. Starting X works like a charm, GLX loads up (according to the log) but DRI/DRI2 doesn't work at all (unsupported).

I'm using the dove video driver. Everything that wants GLX will either core dump (glxgears) or throw me an error "couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig" (glxinfo or xbmc).

I must be missing something..... Any hints?

Thanks,

Tach

I too am having trouble with my CuBox. I'm trying to use XBMC.

I did a fresh install of Archlinux and installed the xbmc-cubox package. When I try to run XBMC under Xfce4, I get the following error message:

XBMC needs hardware accelerated OpenGL rendering, install an appropriate graphic driver.

I have the xf86-video-dove driver installed and Xorg.0.log reports the "dovefb" module is loading as well as the "fbdevhw" sub-module.

Does anyone know what needs to be corrected to make this work?

When I try to play video files with VLC the program will display a few frames and then the video stalls but ther audio continues.
