pacman finds nothing.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '# pacman -S noip
error: destino no encontrado: noip')
when I say "no longer in repos", I mean no longer in any repo (not communityr, nor aur).

ArchLinuxARM 'aur' repo includes only a small subset of official ArchLinux 'AUR'. You will have to grab it from AUR and compile on your own. Search archwiki for AUR

I did assume that that would be the case, but my original intention was to know if noip has actually been removed and why. I found the pkgbuild tree on github and looked for a commit on the subject, but I am not familiar with git commands.

Packages in github are the ones that needed to be modified from the upstream to work on arm. The rest is unmodified and comes directly from archlinux using "abs". If they remove something from their repos it is automatically passed onto us.

https://mailman.archlinux.org/mailman/l ... ur-general search archives to find out why

it seems that someone did not like to have it in extra/community and moved it to aur. after a discussion on half-arguments, it stayed there and then disappeared. there is no why it has been totally removed and the thing is that now the final user has one feature less (out of the box). :(

thx for the answers!

This isn't that hard.

https://aur.archlinux.org

Search for noip.

from my understanding, arm packages are listed in http://archlinuxarm.org/packages and it is not in there, nor it will be pulled from http://mirror.archlinuxarm.org/$arch/$repo.

Those are pre-built packages.
