PKGBUILD for linux-raspberrypi

Postby tpfkanep » Fri Jan 08, 2016 6:22 am

Trying to get the latest kernel source, etc. for building a customized kernel, but I seem to be getting the wrong kernel version. Using
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')BSROOT =. core/linux
downloads a PKGBUILD that applies to kernel 3.18.13.

/etc/abs.conf has a sync server = rsync.archlinux.org

How do I get the PKGBUILD and supporting files for the latest kernel?

Thanks.

All ARM specific packages are on our github
https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs

Specifically you are looking for this
https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... aspberrypi

Thanks for the reply.

I am trying to only get the files pertaining to linux-raspberrypi using git clone https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... aspberrypi core/ but I get repository not found errors.

If I do a git clone https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs/, it looks like all the files are being downloaded.

How do I only download the linux-raspberrypi files?

it is git. You have to clone the whole thing.

I don't know why you are so focused on getting just that one PKGBUILD. Download the whole thing, it is only a few MB (NOT GB). Copy that linux-raspberrypi directory somewhere and remove the rest. Alternatively you can download *.tar.gz which will be a bit smaller since it won't have all the history.

Though with git you can always come back and update thw whole repo with 'git pull' and have up to date package without downloading the whole thing. It will only pull in the difference.
