Install upstream kernel

Postby c0d1ng1at3 » Sun Jul 21, 2019 4:25 am

Hello,

I just flashed the latest aarch64. I want to update the current kernel to the latest upstream mainline kernel. I want to test v4l-utils but I need CEC support on the kernel side.

I did some searching in the forum, but I did not find any Arch instructions official or otherwise on how to do update the kernel.

Does anyone in this forum know step-by-step how this is done or perhaps where documentation is?

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Hello again,

I forgot to mention that I am attempting this on a Pi 3 B+. If you need more information let me know.

https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... ux-aarch64

You can build it yourself or wait a bit. 5.2.2 was only just released a few hours ago.
