chain_install goflexhome error

i'm trying to install archlinux on my goflex home device.

following the instructions on http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/seagate-goflex-home, step 13:

i've tried to research what may be the error and have not being succesfull...my google-fu only goes so far...so i'm reaching out for a guru who could provide me with some guidance on how to start troubleshooting this issue...

any pointers will be greatly appreciated,

just so this may work as a reference, what i did was to jump over step 13 and everything seems to be working. IP address changed but outside this, all is working ok...what i may be missing for jumping this installation step? unless some benevolent soul steps in, i guess the future will let me know (i hope not)...
