[UDOO] Uboot can't load kernel.. Bad data CRC

Postby jerrino77 » Wed Feb 05, 2014 6:12 pm

Hello, i'm using debootstrap method to install Debian armel image to sd card. Following the guide on eLinux, i have to download uImage from sources and copy it to /boot SD partition. But when i boot, i get this $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'UDOO board => boot
mmc0 is current device
** File not found boot.scr **

## Booting kernel from Legacy Image at 12000000 ...
Image Name: Linux-3.0.35
Image Type: ARM Linux Kernel Image (uncompressed)
Data Size: 4372724 Bytes = 4.2 MiB
Load Address: 10008000
Entry Point: 10008000
Verifying Checksum ... Bad Data CRC
ERROR: can't get kernel image!')" uboot loadaddr is 0x12000000

If I copy the "precompiled" image (Debian or ArchLinux doesn't matter) everything works fine, but I need a very small image without DE and i prefer debian because i already know the enviroinment.
The same thin is when i try to compile a uImage by myself (to include XFS support) directly on Udoo, with the new kernel i get the same error.

Please help me to boot my UDOO!!!

Could you show your bootargs and bootcmd? I think your Image is too big, if the kernel size bigger than the bootcmd's parameter, then the uboot can't get all the kernel to the memory, so kernel can't start.

This is not a Debian forum, as evidenced by the logo at the top of the page.
Arch Linux ARM exists and continues to grow through community support, please donate today!
