How to setup U-Boot for raspberry Pi?

Postby ccy » Tue Mar 17, 2015 2:39 pm

I am trying to setup U-Boot for Raspberry Pi Model B+. When I boot the Raspberry Pi, the screen is blank and show nothing.

Here is my steps of preparing u-boot.bin:

1. I clone the u-boot repository and compile in x86 ArchLinux using https://github.com/raspberrypi/tools
2. I make a 100M partition and mkfs.vfat on micro sd card
3. I copy u-boot.bin to the partition and rename to kernel.img. There is only one file in the file system.
4. I boot the micro sd card from raspberry pi but screen shows nothing. I do not know if it boot.

1) those aren't our toolchains.
2) What U-Boot? There is no U-Boot there.

When did that have any support for the BCM2835? Ah... more recently I see.
