Recompile a kernel driver after kernel compile and install

Postby pedronf65 » Fri Mar 11, 2016 11:03 am

Hi all,
I downloaded the linux-armv7 package from the github, compiled with makepkg -s and installed, all worked fine.
But now I want to make small changes to a driver. I can recompile everything using:
$ makepkg -ef --noprepare

But that takes a long time, it will go through all kernel files, then driver files. Is there a better way to recompile just the driver and install it? I'm working on the fec.ko kernel driver and I didn't find any package with it. The driver is in folder src/linux-4.4/drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/.

Thanks in advance,
Pedro
