CuBox, Linux 3.3.3 and TrimSlice

Postby asmok » Wed Apr 25, 2012 4:20 pm

HI there,

I just mixed together CuBox, Linux 3.3.3 and TrimSlice rootfs.

cubox@CuBox ~]$ uname -a
Linux CuBox 3.3.3 #1 Wed Apr 25 18:16:25 EEST 2012 armv7l ARMv7 Processor rev 5 (v7l) Marvell DB-MV88AP510-BP Development Board GNU/Linux

[cubox@CuBox ~]$ cat /etc/issue
Arch Linux \r (\l)

cubox@CuBox ~]$ free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1030980 35248 995732 0 3152 18948
-/+ buffers/cache: 13148 1017832
Swap: 0 0 0

I'm not a developer, just long time LTSP.org (heavy) user...
I wonder what makes/how to make CuBox "official" device/project in ArchLinux Arm?

Best Regards Asmo Koskinen.

Official just mainly means that we have the kernel in the repository, a root filesystem hosted, the device has been shown to work and is stable on our software, and we have instructions for installation that are straight-forward and impossible to screw up if you follow them. I just received my Cubox a week or so ago, but I've been out of free time at the moment to get it brought up in an official capacity. In a couple weeks I'll be free to start work with it and get things moving here.

I use now re-compiled Linux 3.3.3, support for v4l2.

[cubox@CuBox ~]$ uname -a
Linux CuBox 3.3.3 #4 Fri Apr 27 21:15:47 EEST 2012 armv7l ARMv7 Processor rev 5 (v7l) Marvell DB-MV88AP510-BP Development Board GNU/Linux

[cubox@CuBox ~]$ v4l2-ctl --list-devices
UVC Camera (046d:0990) (usb-orion-ehci.0-1):
/dev/video0
