Drivers for Mali400

Postby robin92pl » Wed Oct 10, 2012 8:06 am

Since it's my first post I'd like to say hello to everyone.

I'm going to buy a tablet powered by Rockchip RK3066 CPU (Cortex A9) and Mali400 GPU. By default it runs Android 4.0 but I would like to install Linux on it. And here's my question:
Are there any drivers for this GPU on Linux?
Will the device (with Linux) be able to run XFCE 4.10?
How about efficiency: will I be able to watch 720p movie on this tablet while running Linux?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Tablets + Linux are generally not a whimsical endeavor.

The drivers are there, but it is not going to be smooth running. Each system needs the Mali drivers built for it.
