AKiTiO MyCloud Mini

Install Arch Linux ARM on other devices.

There is something weird going on. I have tried to compile many different kernel sources, but none of them does boot. I have done compiling with ArchLinux and Debian 6 with the same disappointing result.

The device is still Silverstone DC01 / Akitio mycloud mini.

Is it possible, the uboot and stage1 for 256M prevent this going right?

If it actually has 256M, then not likely. There may be pin mappings that don't line up. Do you have serial to be testing with?

I have serial. It boots with uImage.NAS7820 file, but not with any of my compilations.

How can I find out pin mapping with it? Or is there any other way to do this?

They would be in the sources.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'T')hey would be in the sources.

Sure ;-)

I suppose the problem comes from booting without initrd, which is default for this system.

Well I didn't make that uImage so I have no idea which sources they are basing it on.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'W')ell I didn't make that uImage so I have no idea which sources they are basing it on.

You talk about uImage.NAS7820?

It would really be helpful to find source for it.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'I')f it actually has 256M, then not likely. There may be pin mappings that don't line up. Do you have serial to be testing with?

Found the fault.

Wrong load address.

Now everything else OK, but something does reset system time on every boot.

Kernel is 3.1.10. Does anybody know what might do this?

**************************************************************************

Edit: Further investigation gives a different result. It does not reset time. It can't get it from the hw clock.

The time seems to be OK in the device, but kernel gives date 1.1.1970 on every boot.

Any suggestions what to do with it?

I don't understand what goes wrong with the RTC. It does not apper right even in Silverstone 2.6 kernel source.

Anybody?
